Aku Budak Hostel: Amanah dan Kunfayakun
Seperti biasa di bulan ramadhan kami pelajar hostel di benarkan keluar untuk membeli makanan di bazar ramadhan berhampiran. Aku, Shipah dan Shikin bergegas ke rumah pengawal untuk menulis nama. "hang ada pen", shipah dan Shikin mengeleng kepala. Kebetulan sebelum kami ada senior Asrama Putra baru lepas menulis nama. "Abang pinjam pen", kata ku pada seorang senior yang tinggi lampai. Selesai menulis aku berikan semula pen tersebut sambil mengucapkan terima kasih. Dia tersenyum. Dan selepas itu dia asyik menoleh ke arah kami. Pelik. "kenapa senior tu asyik toleh3 dia tegok sapa", tanya Shikin.
Selepas cuti aidilfitri, pihak warden mengadakan jamuan Hari Raya di Dewan sekolah sebenarnya ianya merupakan rutin di Essemjay. Persiapan awal telah dilakukan. Aku tidak pasti samada kebetulan atau dirancang senior tersebut duduk betul2 bertentangan denganku dan benar2 buatkan hatiku sakit. Nak makanpun susah. Asal angkat muka saja dia memandangku. Macam ada yang nak kena tumbukan K.O ni. GGGrrrrr. Selera makan benar2 terganggu dan aku terus membawa tray makanan ke tong sampah bersebelahan dewan makan. Kedengaran namaku dipanggil. Aku menoleh. Huuuh mamat ni lagi, apa dia nak. Aku bergegas tanpa menghiraukan panggilan tersebut kembali ke tempat duduk di dewan.
Senior (cik B) tadi telah memberikan satu tupperwere dalamnya berisi kueh raya dan surat perkenalan melalui rakan satu dorm, Fishah dan Wati. "Mama tu sombong sangat langsung tak nak layan papa dulu'" itulah kata2 cik B pada anak-anak sehingga sekarang. Asal keluar saja mesti dia belikan makanan padaku. Aku pernah memarahinya kerana membeli bunga & hadiah padaku sebab bagiku wang saku dari ibu bapa adalah amanah dan tidak elok dibelanjakan sebegini.
Aku tetap berpegang kepada pesan mak & abah. Ingat Allah dan jaga nama abah juga mak. Kemudian kunfayakun menentukan 6 tahun kemudian kami mengikat tali pertunangan.

Tak sedar rupanya sudah 15 tahun aku & cik B bergelar suami isteri. Bersama kami kini 2 puteri dan 3 puteri.
